If all goes well, we'll be doing a final release in a few weeks. So give this one a try and let us know if you still discover some issues, so we can do the final fixes.
When would you think a GA release could be available?
ReplyDeleteIn a few weeks, if all goes well. Was hoping before the end of the year, but with all the holidays coming up, maybe a week later ;)
ReplyDeleteStill unclear to me what is JBpm 5 compared to Drools Flow.
ReplyDeleteI am digging into the source code and it seems it acts like a facade to Drools Flow.
Currently in our project we use Drools Flow 5.1. Do you think it is preferable to migrate to JBpm5 ? Or we stick with Drools ?
ant install.demo fails on downloading http://anonsvn.jboss.org/labs/labs/jbossrules/contrib/designer/1.0.0.026-SNAPSHOT/designer-1.0.0.026-SNAPSHOT.war
ReplyDeleteAny workaround?
@Maxence: jBPM5 is the next version of jBPM3/4 and Drools Flow, if you look at the latest Drools trunk, you will notice that Drools Flow has already been replaced by the latest jBPM5. But since jBPM5 is plugged in as an implementation under the same knowledge api, migrating from Drools Flow to jBPM5 should be simple (and will occur automatically if you upgrade to Drools 5.2.0).
ReplyDelete@Pasquildo: JBoss SVN appears to be down for maintenance right now, I suggest you try again in a few hours.
ReplyDeleteOn line rigth now! Thanks
ReplyDeleteIs there a specific reasonb to use jboss 4.2.3 version of the app server rather than the latest versions?
ReplyDelete@Aparna: No, not really, I've already updated the install script on trunk so you can also select version 5.1.0 as the JBossAS to download and install. Only small changes might be necessary if you use a different version of AS. To be precise, if you want to install to JBossAS 5.1.0, the jbpm-console wars should work out of the box, for drools-guvnor and the designer you only need to remove a few jars that are no longer needed (and conflicting), check the latest install script for details.
ReplyDeleteWhen JBoss/Red Hat plans to provide commercial paid support for jBPM5
ReplyDeleteAn exact date for commercial support by JBoss hasn't been finalized yet, but we're looking at the second half of 2011 probably.
